Abstract
531,357. Aircraft fuselages. DORNIERWERKE GES., and DORNIER, C. July 19, 1939, No. 20986. Convention date, Aug. 26, 1938. '[Class 4] A circular or elliptical fuselage has two or more sheet metal or framework longitudinal girders 26 of the full height of the fuselage and spaced apart to form one or more gangways. The girders have flange members for securing them to the fuselage, and such flanges may form part of the skin of the fuselage. One or more decks 23, 24, 25 may be connected by flanges to the girders. The girders may have passage ways communicating with the decks. Bulkheads forming the walls of rooms may be arranged laterally of the girders.
