Class 38 (1) [Also in Group XXV] A device for mounting an electrical switchsocket A on a panel L comprises clamping arms H disposed behind the switch-socket A and in screw-threaded engagement with individual clamping screws D accessible from the outer face of the switch-socket. A Springs K act between the switch-socket A and the arms H so that, when the socket is placed in position over an opening M in the panel L and the screws D are rotated, the arms rotate with the screws D due to friction at the coacting screw-threads until a stop lug G on each arm H abuts an adjacent part B of the switch-socket A to define either an outward or inward extreme position of the arm with reference to the switch-socket A accordingly as the associated screw D is tightened or slackened. In the first case, further tightening of the screws draws the socket firmly against the panel. Specification 811,228 is referred to.
