Abstract

1411571 Connector boxes SIEMENS AG 29 Sept 1972 [30 Sept 1971 (2)] 45197/72 Heading H2E A junction box comprises a base 2 attachable to an aperture in a wiring duct 3, an internally threaded cylinder 4a, 4b screwed on to the base and two externally threaded annular members 5, 9 screwed into the cylinder to locate a wiring device, e.g. a socket 7 therebetween. As shown the cylinder may be in two parts 4a, 4b which are held together by one of the annular members 5. A further annular member 11 can be screwed into the top of the cylinder and carries a hinged lid 10, the lid having an opening 15 whereby a cable can be led out even when the lid is closed. A resilient block 17 can be fitted in either of two orientations beneath opening 15, the block in one orientation providing a hole 19 in alignment with hole 15 and in the other orientation blocking off hole 15 when no cable is being led out.
