498,411. Junction boxes. CRABTREE & CO., Ltd., J. A., McLOUGHLIN, H. F., and HARRISON, B. G. July 1, 1937, No. 32170/38. Divided out of 497,857. [Class 38 (i)] A clamp, for securing a conduit or cable entered through a side-entry opening in a metal box for housing electrical apparatus, is provided with a lug or foot whereby it can be secured to the floor of the box. As shown in Fig. 1 the clamp is adapted to receive a conduit l inward movement of which is prevented by the screw j which secures the lug i to the base of the box. The clamp may be internally threaded or may be split as shown. When a cable is to be secured the clamp takes the form shown in Fig. 3 a boss o and flange p co-operating with the entry-hole and the cable being gripped by a saddle-piece s held down by screws t.
