Abstract
719,599. Junction boxes. MURRAY, C. T. Oct. 5, 1953, [Oct. 13, 1952.] No. 25557/52. Class 38 (1). A junction box comprises a base a with a surrounding octagonal wall c, the upper edge of which has secured to it a ring d having inturned lugs e to which a standard accessory or cover plate may be secured. The base has four knock-outs b therein, two of them being ¥ inch diameter and the others # inch diameter. Each face of the wall is provided with a knock-out #, those diametrically opposite being of the same diameter, half of them being ¥ inch diameter and the rest # inch diameter: A conduit l, Fig. 4, is secured in the opening formed by removal of a knock-out, by means of an externally screwthreaded, flanged nipple j passed through the opening, and an internally screw-threaded sleeve k which screws onto the nipple and receives the conduit.
