529,488. Junction boxes. COSWAY (SALES), Ltd., and COSWAY, G. P. June 2, 1939, No. 16216. [Class 38 (i)] A dividing box for a multi-core cable consists of a square casing having two opposite sides open and provided with covers 16 and an insulating panel 15 at one end on which are mounted the sweating sockets 14 for the cable cores and the connectors 11 leading to the apparatus connected to the cable, e.g. a substation panel. The panel 15 is clamped between an internal. flange on the casing and a base casting 18 by means of bolts 22. The connectors 11 screw into terminals 12 that pass through the panel and screw into the sockets 14. Filler openings 23, 23a are provided at top and bottom so that the box can be used either way up.
