Abstract

1315642 Telecommunications assemblies SIEMENS AG 19 April 1971 [12 March 1970 26 March 1970] 23678/71 Heading H1R A telecommunications assembly comprises a cable duct 1, 2 running the full height of the assembly having socket banks 3, 4 at opposite edges of the duct connected to exchange lines and inter-unit wiring respectively. The telecommunications equipment is mounted in a box 6 on printed circuit boards which connect to plugs 12 on a mother circuit board 7. The boxes 6 are located on supports 24 and drawn into contact with straps 41 by a traction screw which co-operates with a threaded block 39, plug banks 8 engaging the socket banks 3, 4. The duct sides 1, 2 are cranked inwards so that supports 24 and straps 41 may be attached by latches 38 without preventing adjacent ducts touching. The duct may be formed from two L-shaped members.
