Junction boxes; couplings and connectors.-A number of cables f, h to be connected together - are clamped by means of a dished member d pressed from sheet metal or cast and having slots e in its sides for the insertion of the cables, a plate g of lead and a clamping plate i, a central screw k and nut drawing the parts together. The members d, i are corrugated for rigidity. Some of the cables fare placed below the lead plate g and others h above it. The clamp is housed in an insulating casing a having the sides grooved to facilitate breaking away to form inlets and grips for the cables, and having a cover secured by nuts n. One box may form the cover of another below in the case of a two or three pole assembly.
