Plug couplings; fusible cut-outs.-The socket elements of a plug and socket coupling are provided with jaws which clamp the ends of a fuse the other end of which is clamped in jaws on the terminal strips, the various pairs engaging blocks projecting from a plate which forms a part of the enclosing box. Fig. 1 shows in plan a plate a forming the box cover on which are fixed blocks b, c, c<1>. The sockets are formed by two metal members d, e the ends of which form jaws for clamping fuse members s, the other ends of which are clamped in jaws p formed on terminal connecting strips f. The members d, e, f embrace the blocks b, c, c<1> the latter two of which carry clamping screws g, g<1> for the leading-in wires. The cover a is fixed to the box k by a screw x which engages a nut l fixed in a square hole in the base of a box k as shown in Fig. 2.
