Abstract

288,813. Goodger, F. L. April 9, 1927. Binding-posts and terminals; connectors.-A terminal 1 having a transverse hole 4 to receive one or more wires 12 and a clamping screw 6 has a clamping head 10 mounted on the screw 6 and means whereby the head 10 looks the screw in position. The screw 6 is split at 8 and the head 10 which consists of a ball or coned member fits within a tapered recess 9 so as to expand the screw resiliently when the wire is clamped and lock it. The member 10 may be split at its upper end to give an additional locking effect. A multiple form of the terminal may be employed for a junction box.
