Plug couplings.-A pin contact is formed with a tapered solid part 1 adapted to seat upon and make contact with the upper edge of the socket and a split lower part terminating in a rounded head 3 of such size that it has to be compressed to enter the socket. At the other end a screwed sleeve 5 may force a coned member 7 to press the stranded ends of the wire 8 against a coned recess 6.
