Abstract

268,433. Line, W. J. Jan. 1, 1926. Plug couplings. - A plug member for a coupling comprises relatively adjustable pourtions between which the conductors enter and are gripped, one portion a having a number of grooves k of differing depths any one of which can be brought into position to hold the conductors. The contact pins are mounted in holes p in the disc l which is secured by screws passing through holes v to the upper part a of the coupling. The fixing screws enter holes w in the upper part so that the two portions can be connected in four positions. Each of the grooves k can be positioned to cooperate with the groove t according to the diameter of the conductor and a flat surface u, k<0> may also be provided at one point on each portion to coact with a groove on the other portion. The terminal pins comprise a threaded portion o, Fig. 5, and a, shoulder n, the surface h of which is cupped to receive the end of the conductor and tapped to carry a clamping screw r. The terminals are located in recesses g when the parts are assembled.
