Abstract
247,289. Cox, C. W. Nov. 13, 1924. Switchboard details; fuse-boards.-To the busbar H of a set of fuse bases A is rigidly connected one end of a metal connecting piece K, the other end k<2> of which extends to a point approximately opposite to the common transverse centre line of the fuse bases and carries a stud or bolt k<3> by which the incoming feedercable lug P is connected, the end of the connecting-piece standing clear of the backs of the fuse bases and the bar which carries them in order that the lug may be inclined at any convenient angle without fouling the fuse bases. The Figure shows the arrangement of the upper half of a two-pole fuse-box, the bases being carried by a bar C extending across the fuse-box. The sockets G of the bases of each pole group are connected to a common bus-bar H, and are the terminal connections by which one socket of each base is connected to the cable of the circuit controlled by the fuse corresponding with that base. The lug P is pivotally attached to the stud k<3>.
