Abstract

283,671. Leach, S. G. Oct. 30, 1926. Fuse boards. - In a multiway double-pole fuse-board, instead of arranging the fuses on the positive side in a group separated from the group on the negative side, they are arranged in a single row, alternate fuses being connected to the positive and negative bus-bars respectively. In this way wiring is facilitated, each pair of circuit wires being connected to adjacent fuses. In the arrangement shown, one of the terminals of alternate, cut-outs (the cut-outs 2a) are connected to the strip bus-bar 5a by means of connectors. 4 sweated or rivetted to the terminal at one end and secured to the bus-bar by a nut 4a at the other. The remaining cut-outs (the cut-outs 2) are similarly connected to the other bus-bar 5 by connectors extending in the opposite direction. The bus-bars are provided with terminals on both ends to admit the supply leads at either end or at the sides, and the different pairs of circuit leads from adjacent cut-outs are taken out from adjoining terminals 11, 11<a>, all on the same side.
