[Addition to 6551/13.] Couplings.-Two electric leads A, B are connected to fixed terminals l, k respectively, by means of a single adjusting - member i screwing into the terminal l and adapted simultaneously to clamp the contact-pieces d, e of a socket or thimble on to the leads and to press them against the fixed terminals. The contactpieces are mechanically connected but electrically insulated, and one may be split and the other cone-shaped, or both may he split, as shown in Fig. 2.
