Abstract

919,728. Two-part couplings. ERICSSON TELEPHONES Ltd. June 30, 1961 [Sept. 13, 1960], No. 31433/60. Class 38 (1). An electrical connector for use with a terminal block carrying several terminals comprises an insulating former 11 (Fig. 1) with several conducting connection pieces 13 (Fig. 2) located thereon in positional correspondence with said terminals and adapted to receive an electric conductor so that on engagement of the former with the terminal block each connection piece is electrically connected only to its corresponding terminal on the block. Each connection piece comprises a U-shaped conducting clip 13 having lugs 15 which surround and grip a conductor 14, and a hole 16 in which is threaded a threaded member 17 which passes through a larger hole 12 in the former and through a similar hole 18 in the clip to engage a tapped bush terminal on the block. The former is located on the block by means of a spigot on the block engaging the hole 19 (Fig. 1) on the former and is provided with cable clamping members 22, 23 (Fig. 4, not shown).
