566,205. Telephone hand-sets. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd. May 7, 1943, No. 7262. Convention date, July 7, 1942. [Class 40 (iv)] [Also in Group XXXVI] A connector for a telephone cord &c. having parallel conductors, comprises a clamping - block 20 by which the end 15 of the cord is secured with flat contactpieces 1 ... 3 embedded in the block and having protruding teeth 4 arranged to enter respective conductors in the cord, the contacts being furnished with screws 22, 24 that form an electrical connection between each contact and a corresponding circuit terminal 12 and also serve to apply clamping pressure to the block. If it is required to use a flex fitted with spade terminals, the block 20 can be removed and the spade terminals inserted directly under the heads of the screws 22, 24.
