Abstract

1436592 Electric connectors J M E LUENGO 2 April 1973 10348/73 Heading H2E A connector comprises an insulating base 12 and two contacts extending through a respective aperture 18 in the base, each contact comprising a terminal portion 1 on one side of the base, a pointed connecting portion 2 on the other side and an abutment 19 to prevent withdrawal from said one side, the base comprising cylindrical projection 13 split 21 at its free end to define two branches 7 which, in use, clamp against a cable 4. The pointed portions 2 enter the ends of the cable 4 to connect with the cable conductors 5 and the branches 7 are screw-threaded 17 to receive a frusto-conical collar 17 which is tightened against an opening 16 in a cover 15 detachably mounted on the base 12 to clamp the branches 7 against the cable.
