Abstract

830,163. Two-part couplings. VAUXHALL MOTORS Ltd. May 28, 1958 [June 4, 1957], No. 17654/57. Class 38 (1). Couplings for a motor vehicle wiring harness comprise pairs of insulating sleeves 1, 2 (Figs. 2 and 3) of rubber or like resilient material gripping split sleeve contact members 8 (Fig. 4), which have tabs 10, 11 by which they are secured respectively to the conductor wires 15 and their insulation 14, a fuse 17 having its end caps held by contact-members 8 when the coupling is engaged. One of the sleeves may have an integral part 20 (Fig. 7) having an anmilar recess 21 by which the sleeve is secured to the plate 22. Two or more couplings may be joined by an integral web of insulating material.
