Abstract

840,345. Sleeve couplings. HELLERMANN Ltd. July 3, 1958 [July 3, 1957], No. 21035/57. Class 38 (1). An insulator for insulating and sealing connectors, such as crimped ferrules, joining conductors, comprises a block 12 of resilient insulating material having passages 15 formed therein for the accommodation of the connectors, the end faces of the block being formed with nipples 13 having narrower passages 16 therethrough in which the insulation of the conductors is gripped. The block may be formed in the shape of a disc and the nipples 13 may be omitted, the block itself in this case being formed with restrictions at the ends of the passages.
