[Class 38 (v).] In polyphase switchgear structures employing lengths of cable as bus-bars the cables c pass in an uninterrupted manner through all the switching units where they are connected with the leads e to the fixed plug-in contacts f in metallic junction boxes. Separate single core cables may be used of the same length arranged in one plane as in Fig. 2 and bent round inside the junction boxes which may be formed with guiding indentations. Stranded single core cables may have the stranding deformed as in Fig. 4 to facilitate connection.
