Abstract

853,159. Lamp-holders. SMITH, R. A. Nov. 10, 1958, No. 35996/58. Class 38(1) A holder for a screw-cap lamp 10 comprises a unitary insulating moulding 1 including a side wall 2 and a base 3 defining a lampcap-receiving recess. Located opposite the side wall 2 is a part-loop of stiff wire 9 which engages and forms a connection with the screwthread of the lamp cap, the ends of the wire being bent over flanges 5 on the moulding to retain it in position. The centre contact of the holder is also formed of stiff wire 12, being bent into a loop at the contact end and also so as to be in a groove 11 round the base 3. One of the contacts is extended and forms one contact of a switch.
