Abstract

739,612. Lamp-holders. PYRENE CO., Ltd. May 20, 1954 [Jan. 4, 1954], No. 177/54. Class 38 (1). A lamp-holder has secured to it a member which prevents insertion of a standard size lamp bulb but permits insertion of a bimetallic switch in a glass envelope having a cap corresponding to the holder. In Fig. 1, the member comprises a plate 4 secured to the holder by a shade ring 8 and cut-away centrally to closely embrace the switch envelope 2. Alternatively the member may be of wire, Fig. 2, formed into a coil 10 with legs 12 shaped to embrace the switch and secured to the holder by the mounting screws 14.
