Abstract

Titanium alloys that can be hot rolled to sheet form without embrittlement have compositions, in per cent by weight, in the following range: Al 0.5-5.0, Ti at least 90 and one or more of the elements V at least 0.5, Si at least 0.5, Nb at least 0.5. The alloys may also contain as impurities C up to 0.6, N up to 0.1, O up to 0.5.
