Abstract

An alloy suitable for high temperature uses, e.g. in parts of gas turbines, has a composition, in per cent by weight, within the following range, Cr 15-25, Co 5-30, Ti 0.5-4, Al 2-5, Ta and/or Nb 1-5, W 5-11, Ni and impurities the balance, the content of W plus 1.5 times the content of Ta and/or Nb plus twice the content of Al plus four times the content of Ti being from 20 to 30. The alloy may also contain C up to 0.5, O up to 0.3, N up to 0.05, H up to 0.001, Pb up to 0.001, Ca, Mg, Ce and/or other rare earth metals up to 0.5 in total, Zr up to 0.2, B up to 0.1.
