Abstract
847,188. Switches partly electromagnetic. LA TELEMECANIQUE ELECTRIQUE. Sept. 10, 1958 [Sept. 19, 1957], No. 29029/58. Class 38 (5). [Also in Group XXXV] A magnetically operated slow-release relay or contactor having self-maintaining contacts 2, Fig. 1, has the closing time of de-energizing contacts 4 delayed to an equal or greater extent than the releasing time of the relay to allow the relay to release when it is desired to break the circuit. The relay coil 1 is energized by a manually operated button M which may close a pair of contacts 3 or directly close the contacts 2. The arrangement may be enclosed in a casing 10, Fig. 3, and the time delay may be provided caused by a pneumatic bellows 14. In this arrangement the button M acts directly on the contacts through a lever 16.
