Abstract

832,308. Collapsible cartons. PASJACK, S. March 18, 1958, No. 8591/58. Class 18. A collapsible carton has side and end walls and top and bottom closure flaps formed of one blank and a central longitudinal partition and inclined transverse partitions formed of a second blank, the longitudinal partition having a handle extending therethrough and movable from a retracted to an extended position. The second blank 38, Fig. 3, is folded centrally to form a double walled longitudinal partition 45, 46 with transverse partitions 42, 43 extending downwardly and outwardly therefrom and having tabs 56, 62 glued or stapled to the side walls. The handle, Fig. 9, comprises parts 70, 83 glued together, tongues 84 extending through slots along the fold line of the part 38. Shoulders 78, 90 on the handle engage the underside of the top closure flaps and the inside of the fold on the part 38 respectively when the handle is extended. An opening in the top, giving access to the retracted handle, is closed by flaps 33, 34.
