826,528. Universal joints. BROWN, BOVERI & CIE A.G. Sept. 20, 1957 [Sept. 20, 1956], No. 29613/57. Class 80 (2). A universal coupling between two shafts 5, 6, particularly for the axle drives of electrically-driven vehicles, comprises two or more concentrically arranged pairs of discs 2, 2<SP>1</SP> and 3, 3<SP>1</SP> secured to arms 7, 8 on the shafts by bolts 10 and coupled together by rubber elements 1 bonded by vulcanization to the discs. Rings 4, 4<SP>1</SP> on the discs engage to maintain the discs mutually centred.
