Abstract
693,107. Universal joints; couplings. DUNLOP RUBBER CO., Ltd. Jan. 4, 1951 [Jan. 19, 1950], No. 1402/50. Class 80 (ii). [Also in Groups XXXII and XXXIV] A flexible gear wheel, railway wheel or mounting comprises an outer member 16 with a cylindrical bore, a double-conical inner member 19, and a pair of rings 20 which are forcefitted in the member 16 and the inner surfaces of which are oppositely inclined so that a rubber bush 18 is radially compressed between the rings 20 and the member 19. End plates 21 may be secured to the member 19 so as to engage the bore of the member 16 when it is required to prevent universal movement.
