Abstract

819,531. Lathing. LIGHT STEEL SECTIONAL CONSTRUCTIONS Ltd. July 3, 1957 [July 26, 1956], No. 23131/56. Class 20(4) [Also in Group XXV] Expanded metal, perforated lathing material, &c. 1 is secured against the flat face 2 of a hollow conduit, or a T-section member &c., Fig. 1, to form a partition or ceiling structure, by a spring clip 3 having bent-over end portions 3a adapted to extend through openings in the perforate material and engage flanges 2a on the said conduit. The intermediate portion of the clip is preferably curved as shown. In a modification, Fig. 4, the end 3d of the clip extends through a slot 6b in the web of the channel-section member, the end 3a being formed as above for engaging one edge of a flange 6a thereof. A pressure dispersion member 7 may be associated with the clip; for example, it may be threaded through two parallel slots 8 provided in the clip, Fig. 5. Specification 783,403 is referred to.
