Abstract

769,044. Spring clip fastenings. KOLSTERBRANDES, Ltd. May 10, 1955, No. 13484/55. Class 44. An attachment clip which is capable of being mounted on a slotted wall 9 and is suitable for attaching the wall to clothing or other thin supporting material, consists of a length of resilient material bent transversely so as to provide two substantially parallel members connected by a curved loop 3; the first of the two members consisting of a first flat portion 4 extending from the loop 3 to a flat shoulder 5 perpendicular to the first flat portion and a second flat portion 6 parallel to and offset from the first flat portion extending from the shoulder on the side opposite the first flat portion, the second member 1 being gently curved throughout its length convexly in relation to the first member, the shoulder and second flat portion of the first member being adapted to pass through a slot 10 in the slotted wall and m which, when the second flat portion has been passed through the slot, the two flat portions of the first member bear against opposite surfaces of the wall on opposite sides of the slot, and the shoulder lies within the slot, traversing once only the thickness of the wall containing the slot and presenting a single flat surface bearing on one edge only of the slot, and in which the second member bears against the same surface of the wall as the first flat portion of the first member on the side of the slot opposite to the first flat portion. Two studs 11 are provided on the inside of the wall 9 and engage holes in the portion 6. To aid the engagement of the clip with the slot one corner 8 of the portion 6 is bent. The member 1 terminates in a roll 2.
