704,425. Securing building boards. EASTWOODS, Ltd. Oct..21, 1952 . [Jan. 28. 1952]. No. 2328/52. Class 20 (4). [Also in Group XXV] A one-piece clip for clamping two sheets of material 13 on the flanges 10 of a lath one on each side of a web portion of the lath so as to leave spaces between the marginal portions of the sheets and an enlarged-head 12 on the web, comprises a bridging portion 15 arranged to extend across the head and having at each end thereof a loop portion disposed in a plane away from the head so as to be engageable with a face of one of the sheets and each of which loops is provided with an upstanding portion 19 adapted to engage the other opposite side of the head to that engaged by the bridging portion. The upstanding part 19 terminates in an inturned portion 20 which engages the underside of the head 12 and is spaced from its loop by a portion 16. The loops are initially formed so that they tend to incline downwardly from the lath. The sheets may be attached to auxiliary laths 14 of inverted T section by clips having a rectangular loop 21 to engage two boards and a depending limb 22 with a bent back part 23 which engages a hole in the auxiliary lath.
