[Also in Group X] A clip for securing a board or panel 7 to a supporting member 5 having a flange or web 6 comprises a tongue 2 for engaging the flange or web 6 and formed by punching or the like from a flat metal plate 1 which provides panelengaging portions 3 at each side of the tongue, the panel engaging portions being formed with one or more apertures for the reception of board or panel securing element or elements (not shown) which is or are engaged by the flange or web when the latter is engaged by the tongue 2 so that the securing element or elements is or are retained in position. The securing element or elements may be U-shaped rivets. According to the Provisional Specification, the clip consists of a flat strip folded back upon itself to form two limbs of equal length, of which one limb is folded back on itself to form a clip portion, the other limb being provided with apertures for fixing the device to the panel or board. In another embodiment the clip consists of a strip cranked intermediate its ends to form clip and panel-attaching portions respectively.
