Abstract

829,504. Panels. BRITISH PLASTER BOARD (MANUFACTURING) Ltd. Dec. 30, 1957 [Oct. 15. 1957]. No. 32119/57. Class 20(4) [Also in Group XXV] A fastener for securing sheet material to a flanged building element, for example a joist 23, comprises a main U-shaped clip for gripping the flanged edge 22 of the foist between its limbs 11, 12 and two or more subsidiary U-shaped clips 15, 18 integral with the main clip, each for receiving the edge of one of two pieces of sheet material 24, 25 applied, respectively, against the face of the flange and at right angles thereto. The subsidiary clips are provided with holes 21 for fixing nails 29 if necessary. The fastener is preferably bent to shape from a spring-steel sheet, but it may be a length of wire or a moulding of synthetic-plastic material.
