Abstract

[Also in Division H2] A resilient fastener has a portion of U-shape comprising a web 1 and two limbs 2, 3 extending generally in parallel away from the web each limb having, at its end remote from the web, an arm 4, 5 extending inwardly of the U-shaped portion towards the other limb the arms overlapping one another and being spaced from the web and from one another and each arm having a depression facing the other arm and extending transversely of the arm in alignment with the depression in the other arm and the web having means for securing it to a support. As shown in Fig. 2 the said means consists of two lugs 13 cut and bent from the web and adapted to engage a pin. To enable the lugs 13 to be released from the pin apertures 17, 18 are provided in the limbs. As shown each arm has a single depression but in a modification each has two parallelly arranged depressions. In a further modification the arm 5 has a tongue formed by making two parallel slits in the arm the tongue being bent to lie nearer the web than the remaining parts of the arm. The clip is intended for securing elongated members such as cables, tubes or bar to a support.
