780,445. Locking bolt-like pins; stud and socket-fasteners; spring-clips. SALTER & CO., Ltd, G. Jan. 20, 1956 [Feb: 7, 1955], No. 3506/55. Classes 44 and 89(1) A spring-clip for securing a shank or web-carrying part 8 to an apertured panel 9, comprises a resilient sheet-metal body 2 bent to V-shape, with the free ends necked as at 3 to engage the panel-edge around the aperture. The shank engaging means consists of tongues 5 bent out of the body-sides and provided with smooth or serrated ends which bite into the shank &c. 10. In a modification, the tongue ends are curbed back so that they do not dig into the shank, which is capable of removal. To secure an elongated web, several clips are spaced at intervals along the web-receiving aperture.
