963,748. Spring clips; stud and socket fastenings. BLAUPUNKT-WERKE G.m.b.H. May 26, 1961 [May 27, 1960], No. 19035/61. Heading E2B. A spring clip for detachably mounting a shielding can on a printed circuit base comprises a U-shaped body portion 1, a tongue 6 cut out from said body portion and arranged for clamping the edge of a shielding can to the clip, and an extension 4 at the end of each leg of the body portion for insertion into an aperture 2 formed in a printed circuit base 3, each extension being bent whereby it may resiliently engage in said aperture. Each extension is reduced in width compared with its leg so that a shoulder 5 is formed which engages a surface of the base. Pointed projections 7<SP>11</SP> are formed in the body portion on each side of the tongue to assist in gripping the can.
