Abstract
982,034. Wall or ceiling facing. GRUNZWEIG & HARTMANN A.G. Dec. 22, 1961, No. 45993/61. Heading E1V. A facing for wall or ceiling panels 6 comprises curved metal or synthetic resin concave or convex strips 12 sprung into undercut recesses 7 in the edges of supporting webs 3. The webs may be secured directly to the wall &c. or as shown in Fig. 3 are held by channel members 16 secured, e.g. by bolts, to adjustable hangers 17. Flanges 5 on the webs 3 support the panels 6 which may comprise insulating material covered with synthetic resin 13. Alternatively the panels comprise loose material resting on a rigid sheet bonded at its edges between flanges 5. The strips 12 are arranged at 90 degrees or other angles to the webs 3. In Fig. 3 the terminal web 3 is secured to a side wall 20 and includes an angled flange 22 to support lamp fittings &c.
