Classes 52(2) and 52(3) The folding chair described in Specification 666,871 is modified by providing a sliding pivoting connection 3 between the seat supporting members 2, which fold vertically, and the legs 1. The leather arm rests 7 are fixedly secured to the front legs 1 and upward extensions 11 of the back legs, and leathers link 7a connect the arm rests to the rear seat supporting members 2. The extensions 11 are bent, as at 14, to form a carrying handle when the seat is folded.
