Class 141 A shoulder-supported garment comprises front and back panels 1, 2 releasably connected together over both shoulders and at the waist, and at least one skirt portion 5 releasably connected by press studs &c. to the lower edge of either the front or back panel. The garment preferably has two skirt portions 5, 6. The shoulder connections may consist of buttons 4 and co-operating loops or buttonholes, or press studs or sliding clasp fasteners. At the waist a belt 7 is secured to both panels 1, 2, its free ends being connected by a buckle 8. Alternatively, the panels may be connected at the waist by buttons and buttonholes or by tie members. The neck opening 3 is of rounded, V- or square form, and a collar may be permanently or detachably secured to it. The garment may be made from knitted wool, cotton or synthetic fibres, possibly rendered waterproof, or from leather, felt, fur or synthetic plastic material, and may be decorated with sequins, lace, embroidery trimmings or applique. According to the Provisional Specification, the panels 1, 2 may be permanently connected over one shoulder.
