Abstract

740,705. Trousers. KAY & LEE, Ltd. Dec. 18, 1953 [Dec. 18, 1952; July 16, 1953], Nos. 32165/52 and 19717/53. Class 141. In trousers of the type convertible into knickerbockers or plus-fours, fastening means for holding the lower end portions of the trouser legs round the legs of the wearer adjacent the knees are carried by a band or bands 12 lying between two thicknesses of fabric forming a hem at the bottom of the trouser leg. One end 13 of the band is fixed and the other end 12a protrudes through a slit 14 in one of the thicknesses of fabric. The hands are provided with press fasteners 15, 16 or buttons or hooks to co-operate with one another or with corresponding fasteners 18 on the trouser leg. A number of fasteners may be provided for adjustment. The bands may project within the trouser leg or into the turn-up which may normally be held up by press fasteners.
