Abstract

812,990. Load clamps. CORBETT & CO. Ltd., R. H. Aug. 20, 1957 [Aug. 21, 1956], No. 25577/56. Classes 78 (3) and 78 (4). In a load gripping device of the kind comprising a pair of clamping arms 1 which embrace the load, e.g. a pile of boxes 20, each arm carrying at least one pair of pressure pads 3, 4 at the ends of a bar 2 mounted on the arm by a pivot 5, the pads are supported on the bar 2 by rubber blocks 7 so as to have a limited universal movement relatively to the bars. The device is particularly for use on a fork lift truck.
