Class 108(1) A trolley for lifting and moving a manhole cover comprises an extendable backbone bar 1 having raised portions 10 at one end and being releasably connected to a wheeled frame 2, and a bar 8 provided with depending lugs 9 which engage over the bar 1 so that the bar 8 may be positioned transversely with respect to the bar 1 between the portions 10. The bar 8 supports two or more manhole lifting keys 11 each having a stirrup end 12, but in a modification the bar 8 may be replaced by a single key 11 swinging on the end of the bar 1.
