Abstract

809,111. Milking machine hoses. ALFA-LAVAL CO. Ltd., and CORDEROY, N. May 19, 1955 [May 19, 1954], No. 14689/54. Class 84. [Also in Group XXXVI] A combined pneumatic and electrical conductor for milking machines comprises a flexible tube 2 having a central pneumatic bore and two bores 13 for electrical conductors as disclosed in Specification 809,112 [Group XXXVI] and end members 1, one at each end of the tube, the members being separately formed and subsequently applied to the tube. Co-axial sleeves 5, 6 with lead wires 8, 9 soldered on are moulded in rubber to form the end member 1 which is then attached to the flexible tube by inserting the continuation of sleeve 5 into the pneumatic bore and inserting the leads 8, 9 in sockets 16 to each of which one of the conductor wires 14 is joined. An uncured rubber ring 17 is then vulcanized in position. The spigot 4 has an insulated contact 19 and the other lead is formed by the spigot itself.
