Abstract

609,930. Two-part couplings. COLE, Ltd., E. K., and INSKIP, F. A. March 26, 1946, No. 9236. [Class 38 (i)] A plug for screened cables comprises a splitsleeve 9 having a bore 2 to receive the cable insulation 4 and a narrower bore to embrace the screen 5, the assembly being retained in a cap 10 provided with a pin 11 and held in place by a clip 16 located in a groove 14 provided in the cap, engaging a groove 6 in the sleeve 9. Rubber tubing 15 may be provided on the assembled cap and sleeve. The pin 11 is mounted in insulation 17 fixed in the cap, and is secured to the conductor 7.
