Couplings.-The end of an electric conductor connected to an electric tool or the like is protected by a flexible sleeve of rubber or like material, thick at the end connected to the tool and tapering continuously to the other end. The thick end of the sleeve 9 may fit into a cavity in the handle of the tool and be held in place bv a clamping block 15 and screws 14. A bead 12 may be formed at the thin end of the sleeve. Instead of rubber the sleeve may be formed of a number of layers of fabric of different lengths so as to produce the taper.
