610,426. Hose couplings. BEAZLEY, T. A., and BRITISH TYRE & RUBBER CO., Ltd. April 4, 1946, No. 10495. [Class 99 (i)] In a hose coupling of the kind in which the hose end is gripped between an insert 14 and a sleeve 21 which is swaged on to it, the reinforcement 18 is bared at the end of the hose and a sleeve 20 of readily deformable metal is placed on one side of the reinforcement, on the other side of which are a number of split or continuous wire rings 19 or one or more helical wire coils. The end of the sleeve is swaged over into a groove 10 in the insert.
