802,166. Gas-turbine plant. HENSCHEL & SOHN G.m.b.H. Sept. 12, 1955 [Sept. 10, 1954], No. 26010/55. Class 110 (3). [Also in Group XIII] In a gas turbine installation, a tubular air preheater 23 (see Group XIII) is mounted vertically above the exhaust outlet 29 of the turbine 28, and the air supply pipe 22 from the compressor 20 to the heat exchanger and also the lead-off pipe 24 for conducting heated air from the heat exchanger to the combustion chamber 25 extend at right angles to the vertical axis of the heat exchanger. In the form shown, the combustion chamber is located vertically above the inlet connecting pipe 27 of the turbine.
