Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the thermal efficiency of supercharging boiler cycle by introducing both combustion gas with high temperature and pressure from steam generator and combuster to the thermal converter through turbine and highly pressured air from the compresser to the steam generator.
CONSTITUTION: Combustion air from compresser 21 preheated by thermal converter 29 is introduced into the combustion chamber 23 of the steam generator 22 and combustion of fuel from pipe line 32 is conducted. By introducing combustion gas from steam generator 22 as combustion air to combuster 30 recombustion of fuel from pipe line 31 conducted. The combustion gas with high temperature and pressure generated by the combuster 30 flows to turbine 26 and the expansion work is conducted. The compresser 21 and generator 27 are driven by this turbine 27. The temperature of combustion gas from turbine 26 is still high due to the small compression ratio of turbine 26, therefore this combustion gas is introduced to the thermal converter 29 and combustion gas is used for the preheating of combustion air from the compresser 21.
