Abstract
In a process and an installation for operating a coal-fired steam power station, the steam generator is heated by means of a fluidized bed furnace. The furnace of the steam generator (1) is brought under pressure, preferably of about 8 bars, by means of a booster group consisting of a gas turbine (12) and compressor (13). The combustion air at the same time serves as the carrier medium for the fluidized bed. The latter is cooled by running the pipes of the vaporiser (21) through the furnace. The combustion gases are subsequently utilised, within the steam generator, to superheat the steam which is generated and to preheat the feedwater, releasing their remaining energy in the gas turbine of the booster group. <IMAGE>
